I enabled Wi-Fi mode on my cell phone curious to see if, in a city of 2 million people, there were any wireless signals, even weak or locked ones. And nothing. My hunch to travel here was confirmed yet again. Perhaps this is one of the few places left on earth where one can be connected in the midst of vibrant city life while being disconnected from the ubiquity of the digital world. Continue reading
